How to determine your foot type?

Our running shoes guide starts with the most basic step: figuring out your foot type. We recommend a couple of tests:

The Wet Feet Test

1. Wet your foot in the battub or with a shallow pan of water.

2. Step normally onto a paper towel or brown paper bag. so that you leave wet footprint behind.

3. Evaluate the footprint:

a. A complete or nearly complete print means you have flat arch (overpronation).

b. If the print is widenear the toes but curves inward slighty toward the middle, rounding out again at the heel, you have a medium arch (normal).

c, If the inward curve is so complete that you mostly see only the front of the foot and the heel, you have a high arch (supination).

There a several steps to choosing a great pair of comfortable running shoes, but two things you should keep in mind, First, each persons feet are different, and so the right pair of shoes for me won’t necessarily be the best pair for you.  Secondly, comfort when you first put them on is not the same as comfort after a long jog or run.

Try them on an walk around, and try to wiggle you feet around.  Your shoes should be supportive of your foot, but not so tight that they cause discomfort.    If you feel snug and secure, but still comfortable, then you know you have a good fit with you new running shoes.

Did you know that basic golf etiquette includes wearing the right thing and not the wrong thing when golfing? That’s right, dressing appropriately for golf is an essential part of a common respect and courtesy for other players on the green. Therefore, before you head out for a round of 18 holes, considers these pointers so that you do not disappoint.

A golf shirt with a collar is always a good idea; after all, most private country clubs have a dress code that complies with these standards. Shorts are permitted, but only if they are designed for golf. Avoid denim at all costs. Wear a belt – a leather one with a silver tip if you want to be like Tiger Woods – and a hat will help keep the sun out of your face. And last but not least, it’s important to wear proper golf shoes, not running shoes or sandals, to complete the ultimate look in proper golf apparel.
